Methods
For my research project I have chosen to try the multi-media presentation. I plan on using a mixture of video, power point, and music to present my work in an aesthetically pleasing and attention grabbing way. The question that I have been researching is, “How has the internet changed the way that artists and bands release their music?”
For my primary research to be used with my study I am going to be sending questionnaires to three or five unsigned or indie label signed bands about how the internet has effected the way they promote and release their music. The questions will ask the artists or bands how the internet has effected the way they release their music, if they own their works copyrights, if they believe copyrights are still worth it, and how they feel about a music labels role in releasing music. I do not foresee any potential dangers for my participants if I use their identities because there will be no personal information asked or any controversial information needed. If my participants do choose to have their identity’s kept secret I can very easily change the name of the band for the paper, number the bands instead of naming them, or label them anonymously. I have already done my secondary research with the ten refereed articles and have completed my literature review for anyone who is interested in prior research related to my topic.

Pre writing: The purpose of this methods section is to explain my research methods for my project. It will help me by organizing exactly what I will be doing with my primary research. Hopefully it will help the reader understand what legitimate research that I have put into this project. It will differ from the other parts of my project not only because its just written but because I am only going to be explaining what research I have done and really nothing much else. My goal for this paper is to simply spell out how I am going to be doing my primary research and what secondary research I have already done. My target audience is the same as stated in my literature review.
Post writing: I think that I did explain what my research methods fairly well and explained my methods for my primary research. I think that it helped me with how I am going to be organizing my questionnaires and I think that it will help my readers understand what I am doing to obtain legitimate research. I did very simply spell out how I am doing my primary research and that I already have secondary research lined up. I again think that I kept my audience in mind and kept my language relaxed.
